Strategic Employment Advisors

Below the surface, clear direction.

Strategic Employment Advisors helps organizations bridge the gap between employment policies and what actually happens in the workplace.

SEA investigates concerns, assesses workplace practices, identifies patterns and root causes, helps organizations implement meaningful improvements, and monitors whether those changes are sustained.

What happens beneath the surface matters.

The policy may not be the problem.

Organizations can have strong policies, experienced leaders, capable HR teams and excellent employment counsel, and still experience recurring workplace issues.

The question is often not simply what the policy says.

It is what actually happens when managers apply it, employees experience it, operational pressures intervene, and concerns arise.

SEA helps organizations understand that space between policy and practice, and determine what, if anything, needs to change.

The iceberg: what appears at the waterline, what sits below the surface, and the direction SEA helps set.

When to Call SEA

  • When something happened.

    You need an independent investigation.

  • When something keeps happening.

You need to understand whether there's a pattern or root cause.

  • When you know what the problem is but aren't sure how to fix it.

You need targeted intervention, training or implementation support.

  • When you've already made changes but don't know whether they're working.

    You need monitoring and follow-up.

  • When your existing HR or legal team needs an independent perspective or additional capacity.

    SEA works alongside them.

Built to work alongside the people you already trust.

SEA works alongside internal HR teams, executives, boards and existing employment counsel.

SEA doesn't need to replace those resources to add value.

SEA can provide independent fact-finding, an outside perspective on workplace practices, targeted employment-law judgment, implementation support, training or monitoring where additional expertise or capacity is useful.

Experienced counsel. A practical perspective.

Tamara Keller is an employment lawyer, workplace-investigations leader and compliance advisor with more than two decades of experience helping organizations navigate complex workplace issues and employment risk.

Before founding Strategic Employment Advisors, Tamara built and led a global corporate investigations function of more than 30 attorney-investigators across 50+ countries supporting a workforce of more than 700,000 employees. Earlier in her career, she served as primary employment counsel to a global medical-device company with approximately 11,000 employees and practiced defense-side labor and employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment and wage-and-hour matters.

That experience shaped the philosophy behind SEA: The immediate workplace problem is not always the whole problem.

Tamara helps organizations look beneath the surface, connecting individual concerns with broader workplace practices, identifying patterns and root causes, and translating those insights into practical action.

That's the idea behind Strategic Employment Advisors: a business with five employees gets the same caliber of judgment a Fortune 500 legal department would bring to the table, at a price that makes sense at that size.
