This is the cheapest item on any compliance list and the one most often wrong. Notices change most years. The all-in-one poster somebody bought in 2019 is still on the wall. And it is the first thing an inspector looks at, before they look at anything that actually matters, which colors how they read the rest of the visit.
Three things get missed with some regularity. Industry specific notices, which the general poster does not carry. Notices that have to be handed to a particular person at a particular moment rather than posted, such as at hire or on separation. And remote employees, where a wall reaches nobody and the content has to travel by email or through whatever system people actually open.
None of this is difficult. It is simply nobody's job, which is why it drifts. An hour once, then fifteen minutes a year, is the entire cost of never thinking about it again.
What you can do
Check the version dates on what is currently posted rather than assuming a poster service kept up.
List the notices specific to your industry, which a general poster will not include.
Decide how remote and hybrid employees receive the same content, and keep a record that they did.
Put a calendar reminder on the same date each year, because this drifts by neglect rather than by decision.
